VolleyPlus has the following expectations of our referees. If you do not feel you can fit this criteria, please do not apply. We prefer to be upfront about this now, as it is essential to us that our teams are getting more than what they are paying for.

All VolleyPlus referees must obtain a Working With Children Check, due to allowing players from the age of 14 and up. We also require all our referees to be 18 years of age or older.

Reliability & Punctuality! Our referees are expected to put their availability in for the following week by 5pm each Thursday. Rosters are then sent out on a Friday and referees are required to stick to their shifts. If unwell on the day, our referees are expected to notify management early in the day. Referees should arrive 15 minutes before their first game.

Learn & Self-Educate Refs are required to take on feedback and instructions given by our experienced Supervising team, as well as keep up to date on rules and attend Training Days where possible and must complete at least the Level 1 Course by Volleyball Victoria. Although we are not affiliated with Volleyball Victoria we still expect our refs to be qualified.

Pleasant & Fun We are looking for refs with a fun attitude and can be approached easily by players. We like our staff to enjoy themselves!

VolleyPlus has the following expectations of our Duty Managers. If you do not feel you can fit this criteria, please do not apply. We prefer to be upfront about this now, as it is essential to us that our teams are getting more than what they are paying for.

All VolleyPlus Duty Managers must obtain a Working With Children Check, due to allowing players from the age of 14 and up. We also require all our Duty Managers to be 18 years of age or older.

Reliability & Punctuality! Duty Managers are expected to be regular in their availability. We like to assign DMs to specific venues on a certain night, so that our clients can become familiar with them. It is also essential for ensuring a venue operates efficiently.

Organised & Proactive It is essential that our Duty Managers are organised by nature. Sports administration works in timeslots, where things will be fast paced as teams check in, and then slow down until the next timeslot. A DM must use that down time to prepare! We also require our DMs to be proactive, finding things to do, to ensure a smooth night of operation.
